Frequently Asked Questions
We know leaving your cat is a big deal. Below are answers to the most common questions we get about our cat hotel, grooming spa, and care standards.
🏡 Cat Hotel & Boarding
What is Lazy Cat Hotel?
We are a boutique, cat-only hotel in Phuket offering clean, private rooms, daily care, and optional spa services, all designed to keep your cat safe, calm, and happy while you’re away.
Will my cat feel stressed staying here?
Our hotel is designed specifically to reduce stress: no barking dogs, no cages, and no overcrowding. Each room is private, with natural light, air purifiers, and soft furnishings. Our loving Thai team knows how to read cat behavior and give space or attention as needed.
Can I visit before booking?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to schedule a tour and see the hotel for yourself.
How do I make a reservation?
Message us on WhatsApp or LINE to check availability. Once confirmed, we’ll guide you through a short booking form and deposit process.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations 15+ days before check-in are fully refunded. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
Can I extend my cat’s stay while I’m away?
Yes, we often accommodate extended stays. Just let us know as early as possible so we can reserve the same room.
What should I bring for boarding?
Vaccination record (Rabies, Leukemia, FVRCP)
Food or snacks (we don’t include food in the price)
A comfort item (toy or blanket)
Passport/ID copy
Do I need to bring bowls or litter?
No. We provide food bowls, water fountains, and premium cat litter for every guest.
How big are the rooms?
Each room offers enough space for your cat to play, climb, rest, and observe. Check our Rooms & Pricing page to see the layout and dimensions
Will my cat be near other cats?
No. Every cat (or cat family) stays in their own private suite. We never mix cats that don’t live together.
Is there human interaction?
Yes, our staff spend quality time with each cat daily, offering play, brushing, or quiet companionship based on your cat’s personality.
Is it clean and safe?
Impeccably. Rooms are cleaned daily with pet-safe disinfectants. We have strict hygiene protocols, daily checklists, and a vet on-call if needed.
What happens if my cat gets sick?
We will notify you immediately, then coordinate with a trusted vet. Medical expenses are paid by the owner.
What if I’m late for pickup?
Pick-up after 16:00 PM incurs a ฿150 fee until 19:00 PM. After 19:00 PM, an extra night is charged. Please communicate delays in advance.
🧼 Grooming & Spa Services
Do you groom all breeds?
Yes, from short-haired cats to Persians and Maine Coons, we handle them all with care and experience.
What kind of spa services do you offer?

Nail trimming, ear cleaning, eye cleaning
Lion cut, teddybear cut, trimming, de-shedding

How often should my cat be groomed?
Every 4–6 weeks is ideal, depending on breed and coat. Regular grooming helps reduce shedding, mats, and even hairballs.
Are your products safe for cats?
Yes. We use only cat-safe, vet-reviewed products and techniques. No harsh chemicals, ever.
How long does a session take?
Between 75–120 minutes, depending on the service and your cat’s temperament.
Can I stay during the spa session?
We recommend dropping your cat off and returning after.
Do I need to prepare anything before grooming?
Feed your cat, let them use the litter box, and bring them in a secure carrier. A familiar toy or towel can help nervous cats.
Can grooming help with hairballs?
Yes. Regular brushing and de-shedding reduce the amount of fur your cat swallows while grooming themselves.
Does grooming hurt my cat?
Not at all. Our groomers are trained to work gently and respectfully, even with nervous or senior cats.
